About the role
As an Investor in our Growth team, you will play a key role in driving follow-on & growth-stage investment opportunities, conducting due diligence, and managing our investments over time.
Day to day you’ll research & analyse new fundraising deals, continue to develop your thesis on different companies and use your work to present concise opinions and ideas backed by data. You’ll work closely with our global investment partners, reporting to our Principal dedicated to growth investments, Ed Barker.
In addition to playing a key role in deals, you can expect to gain experience in broader fund strategy, managing fund positions over time & work with other VCs and the broader ecosystem.
On any given day, you could be:
- Conducting due diligence on live investment opportunities
- Preparing and presenting data-backed insights on growth pathways for portfolio companies & new opportunities
- Understanding how emerging themes & ideas will flow through to forecasts & valuation
- Working with our investment leads on some of our largest portfolio positions
Location: Sydney (preferred), Melbourne or Singapore
Skills & experience
We are open to speaking with anyone who fits this role, though we suspect having 3-5 years experience in finance, tech investing or working in late-stage tech companies is the ideal training ground.
- Immersed in and passionate about technology and how generational companies will be formed
- Excellent spoken and written English language skills
- Success in a fast-paced, high-output environment
- Demonstrated skill in financial analysis, modelling & valuations
- Broad-based analysis experience (research, due diligence, as well as competitive analysis, market assessment and the ability to use multiple data sources to support a hypothesis)
- Comfortable handling multiple conflicting priorities and context switching
- An independent thinker (autonomy and ownership)
- Experience with portfolio management - a plus
