We’re thrilled to have led Source’s Pre-seed round, with participation from TEN13, former Stripe CTO David Singleton, Eucalyptus co-founder Charlie Gearside, and other angel investors.
The procurement landscape for small and medium retailers remains stubbornly analog. The average restaurant or retail store typically manages 50-100 suppliers through a mix of fragmented channels, including phone calls, emails, and paper invoices. Manual processes consume hours of staff time each week, errors are common, and standard payment terms create persistent cash flow challenges. While enterprise businesses have automated these workflows, SMEs lack access to similar tools due to complexity and cost barriers. The result: millions of businesses trapped in inefficient workflows.
Enter Source. Source is building an AI-powered procurement platform that brings enterprise-grade automation to the long tail of retail, unlocking billions in working capital for businesses that need it most. The platform integrates with a store’s email and POS feeds, predicts when inventory will run low in real time, and sends purchase orders directly to suppliers. By eliminating manual processes, Source can reduce admin hours by up to 80 per cent and keep shelves stocked, allowing shop owners to focus on customers and growth.
About the team
Source is the brainchild of Liam Fuller, an 18-year-old Irish-Australian founder. Liam's journey in building Source began through building Shopify apps and experimenting with LLMs since he was 14 years old. At an age when most teenagers are focused on school exams, Liam was instead taking sales calls and pitching to e-commerce brands from his high school bathroom, showcasing AI experiments, building a viral LinkedIn presence and winning Ireland's premier high school entrepreneurship competition.
Although Liam grew up in Ireland, his Aussie roots run deep. It was during a month-long family holiday to Sydney to visit his paternal grandparents earlier this year that we first met Liam, following a cold inbound email to Square Peg’s co-founder and Partner, Paul Bassat.
What struck us most about Liam when we met him wasn't just his age, but his first-principles thinking and clear articulation of the "idea maze" that led him to procurement automation. Liam pairs technical depth with an intuitive understanding of how AI can solve real-world problems. We're not just excited by his current vision for Source, we're excited by his ability to navigate and adapt as the business evolves.
He's joined by his co-founder and CTO, Yoan Gabison, a 25-year-old who oversees the company’s engineering and is based in Paris, France. A CentraleSupélec graduate and AI engineer, Yoan built a real-time notifications SaaS platform for Sorare users before joining Liam at Source.
What's next for Source?
Looking ahead, Liam and the team are focused on onboarding their first cohort of customers while building partnerships with lenders.
In time, Source plans to expand from basic procurement automation to become a comprehensive spend management platform, adding inventory tracking, budget controls, and predictive analytics.
We are grateful that Source has chosen us to partner with them, and we are excited to welcome Liam and Yoan to Square Peg!
