We're hiring! Investor (Associate)

Square Peg is seeking an Investor (Associate) to join our Singapore team. Help us find and work with the next generation of true outlier founders in Southeast Asia. About the role:

Day to day, you’ll nurture and grow relationships with founders across Southeast Asia. As one of our investors, you’ll research and analyse live investment opportunities, meet with founders and use your work to present explicit, concise opinions and ideas backed by data. You’ll work shoulder-to-shoulder with our global Partners.

On a typical day, you could be:

  • Meeting with founders to discuss investing in their businesses
  • Researching themes, emerging trends and ideas
  • Helping the team to conduct due diligence on investment opportunities
  • Preparing and presenting your analysis to the investment committee
  • Engaging with programs, people and leaders across the SEA tech communities to nurture and grow the network.
Attributes & competencies: 
  • Curiosity and a passion for technology and startups!
  • Ideally 2+ years in either IB, PE, consulting, startups (or equivalent background that shows hunger, curiosity and analytical talent)
  • Analytical powerhouse who can turn data into insight
  • Demonstrated proactivity and a bias to action with speedy execution
  • Ownership mindset and the ability to keep many balls in the air
  • Strategic, first principles thinking
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Collaborative and thrive in a high-performance culture of continuous improvement.
